Capital Area Food Bank

Branding a Blank Canvas

Challenge

After the success of the environmental graphics we designed for its DC headquarters, the Capital Area Food Bank brought Eighty2degrees back in to create visuals for a new space: its 43,000-square-foot distribution facility in Lorton, Virginia. Completed late summer 2024, we designed visuals for 14 different spaces within the interior of the building, including the lobby, volunteer center, office level, and warehouse.

Approach

We wanted the Northern Virginia facility’s spaces to come alive and inspire the volunteers, donors, and staff who walk through its doors to continue helping address food insecurity in the region. Through intentional storytelling, we wove CAFB’s essential brand messaging and visual language throughout the building in a colorful, bold, and thoughtful manner.
