Capital Area Food Bank

Responding to Food Insecurity

Challenge

The COVID-19 pandemic has been devastating for communities in the Washington, DC region that were already experiencing food insecurity. The Capital Area Food Bank, the region’s largest food distribution center for low income families, has had to adjust to this new normal and needed an impactful way to show donors how they have responded to new challenges brought by the pandemic.

Approach

We designed a series of infographic one-pagers on a variety of topics—their COVID response, emergency box distribution, and their plans to rebuild their network and systems to meet the needs of their beneficiaries. We designed conceptual infographics for CAFB’s annual Hunger Report, which provided a plethora of data and statistics on populations experiencing food insecurity in the Washington, DC region.
