Inspiring and Reporting on Sustainability in DC
Challenge
Since 2017, we have partnered with Washington, DC’s Department of Energy & Environment to communicate the department’s 20-year sustainability, energy, and climate plan. Each year, we introduced a fresh approach to the established brand to communicate new progress to DC residents in an approachable, creative way.
Approach
Our custom illustrations highlight data, targets, and progress on the issues facing DC residents that DOEE tackles, including jobs, health, diversity, food, and transportation. A robust color-coded system for each area of work is implemented across reports, summaries, handouts, and digital graphics to build a consistent, vibrant visual system.
I was so impressed with Eighty2degrees' eye for style, ability to fit a HUGE amount of information into beautiful clear graphics, and their ability to both take feedback, respect boundaries, and push what was best for the message.
