Capital Area Food Bank

Spreading the Word to End Hunger

Challenge

For the past two years, Eighty2degrees has designed the Capital Area Food Bank’s (CAFB) annual reports, highlighting CAFB’s response and adaptation to new challenges during the pandemic. The reports are frequently used in fundraising efforts to help make a case for why contributing to CAFB is more important than ever before, especially when the pandemic has exacerbated food insecurity.

Approach

Since the reports are digital-only, the reports are in a horizontal format to maximize the space on a reader’s computer screen. The reports contain client stories and illustration-based infographics to call out key statistics in CAFB’s accomplishments. Photography and other illustrations previously developed for their brand toolkit were incorporated to visually illustrate CAFB’s important work towards ending hunger in the Washington DC-Maryland-Virginia area.
