Assessing Health Needs for Equity
Challenge
Healthy DC 2030 is a program within the DC Health Department. It is part of a cycle that every state and jurisdiction uses to assess community health needs in long-term planning and advocate for health equity in Washington, DC. Based on the data and information gathering, Healthy DC creates a community health improvement plan and sets goals for the next decade. Eighty2degrees was brought on board to update the program's logo, as well as design a strategic framework report and accompanying social media graphics.
Approach
Leveraging previously established branding elements, we updated the program logo by refining the symbol and adjusting the typography and color usage. For the strategic framework report, we created a clean, well-organized, read-friendly layout that is visually engaging through the use of a limited color palette, photography, iconography, and gradients. The social media graphics were designed to highlight key data points from the report and point the viewer to the HealthyDC 2030 website for more information.
