United Nations Development Programme in Yemen

Development, Goals, and Recovery in a Time of War

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) produced a series of research reports examining the impact of civil war on Yemen’s development and trajectory to meeting the Sustainable Development Goals. While the first two reports consisted of analysis and data, the final report focused on next steps and action items that would help Yemen attain the SDGs.

We used color and Yemeni-inspired patterns from local textiles and architecture to provide visual cues for the different report sections. We applied patterns to photos in an interesting and unique way to keep the reader engaged. The reports are the basis of political discussions as the international community works towards an amenable settlement for all parties involved.
