FP2030
Sharing the Impact of Family Planning
Challenge
Each year, the United Nations Foundation’s Family Planning 2030 (FP2030) initiative has a significant presence at the International Conference on Family Planning. As the leading organization of the global movement dedicated to advancing people’s rights to access reproductive health services, this year (as well as in 2022), Eighty2degrees was asked to create tradeshow booths for FP2030’s signature spaces at the three-day event in Colombia. FP2030 had two booths this year—one for its main initiative and one for the organization’s Made Possible by Family Planning campaign. The main booth would focus on current threats to critical family planning data collection, and the campaign booth would highlight storytelling and stigma-breaking around family planning.
Approach
For both booths, we used FP2030 and Made Possible’s brand toolkits, interpreting their elements in unique ways to highlight the organization’s critical role in the family planning space. The main booth highlighted the growing loss of vital data, using a dissolving pattern of numbers and bold, significant data points to ask: “When donor government funding declines, will family planning progress disappear?” The campaign booth featured bright colors and floral imagery to inspire hope for the future of family planning, encouraging visitors to take a photo to share on social media with stories of how family planning has impacted their lives.
